Sora Aoi (蒼井そら) is an extremely successful retired JAV actress, Japanese AV idol and Gravure model who was born on 11 November 1983. She measures US 35F-23-33 (JP 90G-58-83) and is 155cm tall. Sora started her AV career in 2002 when she was about 19 years old. She later retired from the AV industry in 2011.
In spite of her retirement from the AV industry Sora has continued to build on her popularity and now enjoys a huge fan base both in Japan and abroad. She is particularly popular in China, Korea, Canada and the USA. Her official website claims that she has in excess of 18 million fans worldwide!
Sola was scouted by an AV talented scout in Shibuya, Tokyo during her 3rd year of High School, which lead to her Gravure modelling career and later to her starring in porn (AV) movies for various studios in Japan – most notably MAX-A and S1. She has later said in interviews that whilst she has never been embarrassed by her AV work but she aways intended on keeping her AV career short so she could transcend to more mainstream acting and modelling work. Award winning Sola won Second Place Award as Best New Actress in the 2002 at the X City Grand Prix Awards and Best Actress Award at the 2004 Pink Grand Prix gala.
On New Year’s day in 2018 Sola announced that she had married a Japanese man named DJ Non the month before, which caused much controversy amongst her fans. In later interviews Sola has been quoted as saying, “I’ve always wanted to get married. I love kids, and it’s always been my dream to start a lovely family. My husband is neither handsome nor rich, but he has removed all of my uneasiness about having been in adult films.”
Sola remains very interactive with her fans via social media and even has english social media profiles, which shows her commitment to her loyal, worldwide fan base and is very unusual for an AV Idol.
